I am so happy to hear that Adam Lambert went to the Top 12…so far my prediction that he will be the next American Idol has come true. I know that he is still a little show tunes but I know that will disappear after a while. He needs to be the new American Idol, he’s such a cutie and he can sing. Ellen Degeneres had two great moments on her show, John Mayer and Josh Groban. I can’t tell you how many times I used to act this song out with my cousin. I think Ellen has been taking singing lessons because she doesn’t even sound that bad! Or it could be that I’m half deaf.
Yes, my hero John Mayer was on the Ellen Degeneres Show today. I have been meaning to post about it all weekend but I have been crazy busy working. I’m glad I waited or I would have missed posting John and Ellen Degeneres singing in her Bathroom Concert Series. I love this idea. She is brilliant!
I also have to include the banter about the light switches:
“There is no normal thing in the Aniston house,” he jokes. “You won’t find a light switch. I just want a switch that glows orange. Just give me a switch that glows orange and I can swing my arm up [and turn on the light].”
Ellen says, “Hey, when you said in the middle of the night… Do you sleep over?”
“Yeah, there are sleepovers, yeah,” John replies.
“You have sleepovers, that’s cute,” Ellen jokes back.
“Yes, there are. There are sleepovers,” John confirms once more.
John sleeps over at Jennifer Aniston’s house… NO WAY!

Ellen Degeneres is so funny and what a great idea it is to take Britney Spears with her caroling. I’m not sure if everyone else thought it was really them … or thought they were really crazy!
I just finished watching For the Record last night. It really made me feel sad for Britney. But it was freaky being on the inside of the action instead of seeing it from the outside.
We all know Robert Pattinson is pretty slick…but watching this clip from Robert in the Green Room before he was on the Ryan Seacrest shows he may not be that co ordinated. May be I’ll have to give him some lessons?
Almost every day there are rumors of Mariah Carey being pregnant..well on her show today Ellen Degeneres got to the bottom of it.
Ellen: “People are saying that you’re pregnant. There are rumors.”
Mariah: “No, that’s ok …”
Ellen reaches for some champagne and glasses …
Ellen: “You don’t have to answer that. Let’s just toast with champagne.”
Mariah: “But they’ve been saying that since … Oh, I can have some champagne. It’s just fattening.”
Ellen: “You can have some champagne?”
Mariah: “That’s not champagne. You can’t have it on TV. … I can’t believe you did this to me Ellen.”
Ellen: “What? I’m not going to ask you if you’re pregnant or not.”
Ellen pours the champagne.
Ellen: “No, let’s toast to you not being pregnant.”
Mariah: “Oh my goodness. I can’t believe her. … (laughing). Why would we toast to that? How about to the future? For both of our futures. Who knows what they hold?”
Ellen: “Who knows? All right. Go ahead. Cheers.”
Mariah: “It’s too early for me. I only drink after 3:00 pm.”
(Mariah pretends to drink the champagne)
Ellen: “You’re pregnant.”
Mariah: “I didn’t say that. No, no, no. … We will let you know when we’re going to have a family.”
I just love Ellen…she always has a way with her words.
