I am so excited to finally see what’s coming up next on Season 6 on House. It looks like part of the season will revolve around Dr. House being in the mental institution and using his doctorly skills there. I just hope we have him back in the hospital he works at before too long!
The other day I posted the poster for St. Trinian’s. And now today I have the trailer. St. Trinian’s stars Mischa Barton, Rupert Everett, Colin Firth, Lena Headey, Caterina Murino, Stephen Fry, Jodie Whittaker, Celia Imrie, Anna Chancellor, Gemma Arterton, comedian Russell Brand and Toby Jones just to name a few.
The synopsis is this: St Trinian’s, the infamous school for ‘young ladies’ is once again facing dire financial crisis! The bank are threatening headmistress Camilla Fritton with closure. Her unorthodox doctrine of free expression and self empowerment is also under threat from new Education Minister Geoffrey Thwaits, an old flame of Camilla’s who is determined to bring discipline and order to the anarchic school. In true St Trinian style the girls are in a league of their own; smart, fearless and determined to defend the school they love to the end. They need to unite the warring girl gang cliques and come up with the cash fast to save the school.
Watching the trailer this movie reminds me a bit of Gossip Girl. I have also heard that this movie has been out in the UK already and it’s good. Catch it in theatres on August 28th.
I have to admit that I am behind on my Saw watching. I have seen the first two or three, with the second one being my favorite. And I haven’t seen the rest of them. I can’t believe it’s at number six already. I have seen a clip from the movie and now I’ve seen the trailer and they’ve convinced me that I need to watch this one. (I love horror movies ALOT!)
Saw VI stars Tobin Bell, Betsy Russell, Shawnee Smith, Mark Rolston, and Peter Outerbridge and the synopsis for it is this: Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw’s legacy. However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion, and Jigsaw’s grand scheme is finally understood.
I was out playing in the river when I got a text on my phone that I needed to get home and post the trailer for Alice in Wonderland because it was just that awesome. I ended up packing everyone up and getting out of there as fast as I could. And now I can show you the teaser trailer for Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland. Dark and amazing looking for sure. And with a cast like it has could there be anything less?
Make sure you reserve March 5th, 2010 for the day you go to the movie theater to see it. I know I will be there the Mad Hatter is driving me wild!
UPDATE: I am trying to keep up with them pulling the trailer and finding a new one. Hopefully this one will work for awhile.
Lionsgate sent over this teaser poster and movie trailer for the movie, Brothers, to me this morning. I perked up when I saw what a great cast it had; Jake Gyllenhaal, Natalie Portman and Tobey Maguire. I’ve watched the trailer a couple of times now and can’t decide if I want to start crying or let the shivers keep going up and down my back.
BROTHERS tells the powerful story of two siblings, thirty-something Captain Sam Cahill (Tobey Maguire) and younger brother Tommy Cahill (Jake Gyllenhaal), who are polar opposites. A Marine about to embark on his fourth tour of duty, Sam is a steadfast family man married to his high school sweetheart, the aptly named Grace (Natalie Portman), with whom he has two young daughters. Tommy, his charismatic younger brother, is a drifter just out of jail who’s always gotten by on wit and charm. When his Black Hawk helicopter is shot down in the mountains Sam is presumed dead and the Cahill family suddenly faces a shocking void. Tommy tries to fill in for his brother by assuming newfound responsibility for himself, Grace, and the children. In the grief and strangeness of their new lives, Grace and Tommy are naturally drawn together. Their longstanding frostiness dissolves, but both are frightened and ashamed of the mutual attraction that has replaced it.
But Sam is not dead; he and a fellow soldier have been captured by Taliban fighters. In Afghanistan’s harsh, remote Pamir Mountains, Sam is subjected to traumas that threaten to rob him of his very humanity. At the same time that Sam’s sense of self is being destroyed overseas, Tommy’s self-image is strengthening at home.
When Sam unexpectedly returns to the States, a nervous mood settles over the family. Sam, uncharacteristically withdrawn and volatile, grows suspicious of his brother and his wife. Their familiar roles now nearly reversed, Sam and Tommy end up facing the ultimate physical and mental challenge when they confront each other. In the shifting family dynamics, who will dominate? Directed by six-time Oscar® nominee Jim Sheridan, BROTHERS tells the compelling tale of how two brothers come to terms with issues of love, loyalty, and manhood—and with the woman caught between them.
I love any movie Natalie is in. And this is such a powerful one. What happens when you fall in love with someone when you thought your husband died?
Brothers comes to theaters on December 4th, 2009. Make sure you bring a box of kleenex with you.
The CW released the teaser trailer of its new upcoming show, Vampire Diaries. The show is based on the books and is about two vampires that fall in love with the same woman. I had been really excited to see what this actually might look like. I had heard so much about it and since it’s moving to the time slot before Supernatural I can easily watch it. (My Thursdays will be barren without ER next season.)
IÂ knew the actor Ian Somerhalder was in the show but I didn’t know Paul Wesley was. He was in that show Fallen, where he played a half-angel.
And you know it’s going to happen, how will this show be compared to Twilight? And how different are these vampires than the ones in Twilight? I know that is what interests me the most. I guess I will have to wait until the fall.
