Eli Roth + Cotton + Funhouse = WIN

I haven’t made it a big secret that I like Eli Roth. I’ve even hopped by his Myspace to tell him how amazing I think he is. I think that his mind is warped and for some reason I like that. Take for instance Hostel. It was amazingly gory. I was covering my face because some of it I couldn’t handle. That is the kind of horror movie I like!

New stills from his movie, Cotton, have come out and I hope that exorcism to him will be wicked. The synopsis for the movie is this: Disillusioned by years of defrauding poor believers of their hard-earned cash, evangelical preacher Cotton Marcus decides to put the record straight by producing a spectacular documentary.  And put Eli’s spin on it…amazing.

While I was researching the movie Cotton I came across an article that Eli was planning on remaking Tobe Hoopers Funhouse. One of my favorite books by Dean Koontz is Funhouse.  I know that they really don’t seem related but it’s the point that they have always intrigued me. Maybe it was the time that my dad took me to a Funhouse in Niagara Falls and I freaked out because someone scared me. So Eli has a great spin on what his Funhouse movie would be like…

“I’m talking with Universal about that one. THE FUNHOUSE is a movie where the first half is brilliant—they set up these great characters—and then they pay off none of them. You have Marco the Magician sawing his daughter in half, the brothers who run the carnival and the funhouse setting. And then it’s all about this weird mutant thing. It should be about the kids getting killed in horrible ways, put in different contraptions in the funhouse and the final girl being strapped into the ride and sent into the tunnels to be confronted by terrifying tableaux of her dead friends. A smart remake could be so much fun. Kill the kids in fabulous ways and continually reuse the bodies by making them freaks in the freak museum, sew their eyes shut, waxworks… That’s the stuff I want to do in a remake of THE FUNHOUSE.”

It’s like a warped Saw. I think I would like Eli’s take on it more. I hope his pitching will work.

Another Three Rivers With Alex O’Loughlin Teaser

Posted by taylor blue on August 9, 2009 | 4 Comments

I have been talking about Alex O’Loughlin (DUDE) alot over at Twitter. I have always found that Alex fans are so different from other fans. They are passionate and considerate. Maybe they should talk to the Robert Pattinson fans on how to act! But that is a whole other post.

This post is about another teaser from Alex’s new show, Three Rivers. I am loving the commercials because every time they show a different side of the show. October come soon!

S. Darko The Official Teaser Trailer

Posted by taylor blue on February 28, 2009 | 2 Comments

I’m excited about the movie S. Darko, please don’t shoot me. It may be just because Ed Westwick is in it and he’s wearing normal clothes. (He kinda looks really hot!) But I know one thing, I will have to watch the first one before I watch this one! It looks super scary which is a plus for me!

S. Darko follows Samantha Darko, the younger sister of Donnie, the protagonist of Donnie Darko, and her friend Corey. On their way to Los Angeles, their car breaks down, forcing them to wait in a small town until it is fixed. While there, Samantha begins to have dreams that warn her of the end of the universe.

How are the affects in this movie? I don’t think they are half bad. S. Darko is set to be released on April 28, 2009 on DVD and Blu-ray.

New Picture Released Of Heath Ledger In The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

Posted by taylor blue on October 21, 2008 | 1 Comment

A new picture of Heath Ledger in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus has been released. It shows Heath looking intense. There also has been a rundown of the movie released too. I can’t wait until this one is in theatres.

[It} is a fantastical morality tale, set in the present day. It tells the story of Dr Parnassus and his extraordinary ‘Imaginarium’, a traveling show where members of the audience get an irresistible opportunity to choose between light and joy or darkness and gloom. Blessed with the extraordinary gift of guiding the imaginations of others, Dr Parnassus is cursed with a dark secret. Long ago he made a bet with the devil, Mr Nick, in which he won immortality. Many centuries later, on meeting his one true love, Dr Parnassus made another deal with the devil, trading his immortality for youth, on condition that when his first-born reached its 16th birthday he or she would become the property of Mr Nick.

Valentina is now rapidly approaching this ‘coming of age’ milestone and Dr Parnassus is desperate to protect her from her impending fate. Mr Nick arrives to collect but, always keen to make a bet, renegotiates the wager. Now the winner of Valentina will be determined by whoever seduces the first five souls. Enlisting a series of wild, comical and compelling characters in his journey, Dr Parnassus promises his daughter’s hand in marriage to the man that helps him win. In this captivating, explosive and wonderfully imaginative race against time, Dr Parnassus must fight to save his daughter in a never-ending landscape of surreal obstacles - and undo the mistakes of his past once and for all.
