Michelle Williams is the cover girl for the October 2009 issue of Vogue. She talks about Heath Ledger and her daughter, Matilda. Here are the highlights from the interview:
On boundaries: “I didn’t know what my boundaries were for a long time, which made interviews feel very unsafe. I can talk about grief, because that’s mine; about single parenting; about trying to balance work and kids. But what I don’t have to talk about is what happened between Heath and me in our relationship.”
Coping after Ledger’s untimely death: “I was holding it together by a string and a paper clip in the fall and winter. I didn’t know if I could keep it all together… You console yourself by saying it’s all a deepening process. But it’s wired. After the first year, the pain is less intense; it’s less immediate. But the magical thinking goes away too. And that’s a whole new reckoning. But every time I really miss him and wonder where he’s gone, I just look at [Mathilda.]”
The happy times: “‘Brokeback Mountain’ was an unrepeatable moment in time, a very charmed time in my life. I was in love; I was in a movie I was proud to be a part of, and with a beautiful brand-new baby. Everything was good in that moment.”
Dealing with the paparazzi presence: “It’s because of this tragedy that there’s more paparazzi. That is hard to be graceful and understanding about… It’s hard to be the man and the woman in that [paparazzi] situation. Heath always used to do that for us.”
Falling in love: “I thought falling in love again was the only thing that was going to save me from the pain. This erroneous idea: It just makes things more complicated.”
What the future holds: “I feel hopeful and grateful. For a while I thought we had lost everything. It makes you want to love better and liver better.”

Charlize Theron looks stunning on the September 2009 cover of Vogue magazine. Charlize talks about her boyfriend and playing strong women in films. Here are the highlights:
On her boyfriend, Stuart Townsend: “We’ve been together for almost nine years, so by now we’ve kind of realized that we’re going to take this journey together.â€
On feeling like she’s shadowed constantly by a sense of remorse for some inappropriate thing she’s just said: “People tell me that cocaine makes you feel superhuman and you’ll say anything. Then when you come down like all of a sudden you have guilt. But I have that feeling innately, even without the cocaine.â€
On playing all strong women for films: I can’t tell you about that but I know how I feel about facing my own weaknesses, and playing into my weaknesses and finding that within my characters. My weaknesses are way more interesting to me than my strengths.â€
I love the photo shoot which was shot by one of my favorite photographers, Mario Testino.

Blake Lively is on the cover of the February 2009 issue of Vogue. How classic does she look. The photos are by Mario Testino and that could be why they look so awesome because I love his pictures. I am not disappointed at all by her look. Go Blake go!
On the fashion of Gossip Girl: “The fashion is just unbelievable. You can watch our show on mute and be entertained.”
On adapting to Serena’s look: “Just being here, walking around, you pick it up really quickly. In New York, you put on skinny jeans and riding boots and a leather coat and handbag, and you take on that posture and character. It becomes very natural.”
Speaking of handbags, do you notice how they carry them in Gossip Girl the other episode I watched the other day it was just annoying with their hands in the air like that…
On how she has input to the look of Serena: “The more they work with me and see my style, and the more I learn about fashion, the more input I have… It’s more collaborative now than it was in the beginning because then I had no idea what I was doing.”
On not fitting in at private school: “They would make fun of my clothes because I dressed differently than the other kids.”

Reese Witherspoon is the November 2008 covergirl for Vogue magazine. She is showing off her new look and I think she looks great. Here are some highlights from her interview.
On boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal: “He’s very supportive. Suffice it to say, I’m very happy in life, and I’m very lucky to have a lot of really supportive people around me who care very much for me, and, you know, that’s all you can hope for in life. I am very blessed in that way.”
On her roles: “I’ve worked so hard to create characters that have dignity. And I think everybody knows that I have a very pro-woman message in my work — and in my life.”
On her charity work with Avon: “The more work I’ve done with children around the world, the more I realize the way to help them is by empowering women, creating financial opportunities, and that’s something Avon is very dedicated to.”
About the divorce in her new holiday movie, ‘Four Christmases,’ and her real life: “It really is a complication in a lot of people’s lives now. How do you see your mother and your father and not hurt anyone’s feelings? You know, I didn’t grow up like that. I mean, my parents are still married, and my grandparents stayed married, but it’s a situation my own children will have to deal with, so it was of interest to me.”
